I am a first-year, business major from Smyrna, Georgia. I am an avid health enthusiast, yogi, and world-traveler. When I graduate tech, I hope to find a job that incorporates these interests along with my passion for Spanish. I watched the series 13 Reasons Why when it was first released and did not develop any strong opinions towards the show. When the series became controversial, I could see both sides' reasoning for liking/not liking it, but I remained unbiased. I think that this project will help me to develop a stronger opinion about the show and be more aware about teen suicide in general.

I am a first-year, mathematics and environmental science major from Shenzhen, China. I like camping, traveling, and reading. I plan to continue to study on big data analyzing in environment area after graduating from tech. I'm interested in this topic because I notice that nowadays there is increasing number of reports and news on media-guiding teen suicide. I think 13 Reasons Why reminds the society of teen suicide while affects the teenagers in both positive and negative ways. Discussion and research around 13 reasons why will enable me to have a more comprehensive understanding to the question how media affects teen suicide.

I am a first year neuroscience major from Sugar Hill Georgia. I enjoy traveling and playing video games as well as taking the occasional nap. I currently do not know whether I want to enter medical school or work on integrating artificial intelligence with human sensation and perception. I was interested in 13 Reasons Why because suicide is always an important topic with teenagers and people of any age. I believe spending more time discussing 13 Reasons Why and how it portrays suicide will lead to a more healthy understanding and awareness of suicide in general.
